Financial Accountant


Our client, a well-established Company with diverse interests and a dynamic workforce is currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting/Business/Economics/Finance, professional qualifications in ACCA/CPA-K/CFA with a minimum of 6 years’ proven experience and proficient in use of ERP system.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the accuracy & completeness of financial statements and accounting records.
  • Create and maintain a chart of accounts.
  • Establish well-documented systems for record keeping & accounting.
  • Research financial variances & analyze financial data.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations & financial statements.
  • Consolidate departmental budgets & compare actual costs to budgeted costs.
  • Regularly update management regarding the financial status of the company.
  • Prepare tax returns & calculate taxes owed; comply with tax requirements around payment & reporting.
  • Co-ordinate internal & external audits of the organization’s financial and accounting records.
  • Analyze business operations, financial commitments, costs, revenues & trends to develop projections for future revenue and expenses.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback to management regarding budget forecasts, resource utilization & tax strategy.
  • Supervise and direct the work activities of accounting and bookkeeping personnel
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and finance standards, best practices & government regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics, or related field.
  • Must have at least 6 years of proven experience.
  • Should be a certified CPA (K)/ACCA/CFA.
  • Must be Computer Literate and tech savvy.
  • Competent in the use of accounting software, ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018)
  • Prior experience as a junior/staff accountant with a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Working Capital Management Skills.
  • Budgeting and forecasting skills.
  • Developing work plans.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Capable of completing intricate tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • High moral standing with impeccable integrity.
