Assistant Camp Manager – Laikipia


Our client, a hotel group with properties in Kenya is looking for a Passionate Assistant Camp Manager for their luxury tented camp in Laikipia. The successful candidate will assist the Lodge Manager with organizing and coordinating all the lodge operations and procedures. He/She must have at least 3 years Managerial experience in small/boutique Lodge or Tented Camp, be a strong leader and very customer oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully responsible for all Hotel functions/operations in the absence of the lodge manager.
  • Drive and Adhere to Financial targets and to meet forecasted contribution to HO.
  • Assist in planning and delivery of operational and Capex Budget.
  • Effective stock management according to company set operational standard.
  • Ensure SOP’s are implemented, and maintained.
  • Drive the Guest experience to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on areas of responsibility.
  • Perform Duty Management shifts according to property and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Hotel Management degree/diploma from a reputable institution.
  • Over 3 years of Management experience in a 5 Star Lodge or Tented camp.
  • Customer focused with a warm friendly personality.
  • Conversant with Opera PMS, Micros POS & Materials Control software.
  • Exceptional Food and Beverage knowledge.
  • Excellent Communication and leadership skills.
  • Passionate about service.
  • Problem solver and “out of the box” thinker.
  • Valid Driving licence.
  • Proactive and eye for detail.
